Iwaspoisoned’s founder featured on BBC's The Food Chain podcast

Apr 4, 2018

Patrick Quade, founder of Iwaspoisoned.com and Dinesafe.org, was interviewed on the most recent episode of the BBC podcast The Food Chain called a “Poisonous Business”. Patrick shared the beginnings of the platform, and how it has had a positive impact for consumers, public health agencies, and industry.

He also discussed how the website had grown from a small website to catch major outbreaks across the US and now partnering with Public Health agencies, improving the reporting rate of foodborne illness and helping to increase the data these agencies and industry manages on this issue.

He also had the opportunity to discuss how our data is managed responsibly and some of the industry criticism the site faces. This interview has helped gaining exposure and understanding of what Iwaspoisoned.com does and how this has a positive impact on our community.

The Food chain is a BBC podcast, which examines the business, science and cultural significance of food, and what it takes to put food on people’s plate.
