Iwaspoisoned.com to Present at Albuquerque's Norovirus Nexus Conference

Jan 23, 2024

We're excited to share that we've been selected to lead a one-hour presentation on leveraging crowdsourcing in detecting Norovirus at the Norovirus Nexus: Charting a Course Through Prevention, Outbreak, and Mitigation conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with the exact date soon to be determined.

The conference is organized by the City of Albuquerque Environmental Health Department's Public Health Division. They will host a diverse group of attendees, including professionals from senior care, medical, hospitality, childcare, school facilities, and regulatory bodies. With the division responsible for the health and well-being of over half a million residents, the conference is expected to draw close to 300 attendees this year. The focus of the conference is to address critical aspects of Norovirus—prevention, response, and containment, aiming to benefit both local communities and professionals from varied sectors.

Our session will delve into the strategy of using crowdsourcing for Norovirus detection and prevention. We plan to discuss how this method supports health departments in food safety initiatives, present its role in identifying outbreaks early through various case studies, and compare the crowdsourced information with formal data.

We're looking forward to contribute to this enlightening and educational gathering. We believe our presentation will enhance Albuquerque's ongoing efforts in fighting Norovirus and raising awareness. We invite everyone interested to attend this no-cost, informative session!
