Patrick Quade, the CEO of Iwaspoisoned.com, presented at the Annual Education Conference of the Oregon Environmental Health Association on October 24th, 2023. This event convened experts in environmental health, food safety, as well as scholars and teachers, to share knowledge and updates on recent advancements in their respective domains.

The talk by Patrick, entitled "An Introduction to Iwaspoisoned & The Opportunities and Challenges of Crowdsourced Food Safety Data," offered an in-depth look at the Iwaspoisoned platform, which compiles user-submitted reports of potential food poisoning incidents. His focus was on how this data is used practically, particularly in identifying outbreaks early and enhancing public health measures. Additionally, the presentation shed light on the interpretation and utilization of this data, providing a thorough understanding of a vital aspect of modern food safety management.
