Iwaspoisoned.com Speaks at the 2023 Santa Clara’s Department of Environmental Health Conference

Oct 20, 2023

At the Department of Environmental Health Conference in Santa Clara on October 18th, 2023, Patrick Quade, CEO of Iwaspoisoned.com, delivered a keynote presentation. This conference was a hub for professionals from environmental health, food safety, research, and education sectors, facilitating the sharing of current developments and knowledge in these fields.

We are thankful to Santa Clara County for the chance to contribute at their conference. Our presentation, titled "An Introduction to Iwaspoisoned & The Opportunities and Challenges of Crowdsourced Food Safety Data," focused on the features of his platform, Iwaspoisoned.com. This innovative site compiles reports from consumers about suspected food poisoning incidents. We emphasized the data's practical application, particularly in detecting outbreaks early and its importance in reinforcing public health strategies. We also illuminated how to analyze and employ these data insights, delivering a detailed view of a key element in modern food safety management. The event provided a valuable opportunity for learning, interaction, and sharing insights with experts from diverse sectors, including environmental and public health. These exchanges are crucial for developing new viewpoints and establishing connections, driving innovation and advancement in our field.
