Iwaspoisoned.com Founder Patrick Quade Presents at the Conference for Food Protection

Apr 20, 2021

Iwaspoisoned.com founder, Patrick Quade is grateful to have participated in the Conference for Food Protection on April 15th, 2021. The conference, centered around "The Impact of New Food Technologies and New Foods on the Food Safety Professional," provided an enriching platform for us to delve into the evolving landscape of food safety in the context of emerging technologies.

The three-day virtual event, held via Zoom, was a deep dive into how new technologies are shaping the future of food safety. It was an eye-opening experience to explore topics ranging from sustainable alternatives to meat, 3D food printing, to the regulation of cannabis-derived products. The comprehensive agenda and the array of expert speakers offered a wealth of knowledge and insights.

Our involvement in the conference was particularly aligned with the third session on April 15th, which covered aspects like health inspection scores on Yelp, big data in food safety, and the role of social media in monitoring public health outcomes. These discussions resonated deeply with our mission at Iwaspoisoned.com, where we leverage consumer reports and social media to track and prevent foodborne illnesses.

The opportunity to engage with other professionals and learn about the latest research and advancements in food safety was invaluable. The conference not only enriched our understanding but also provided us with new perspectives on how to enhance our platform and contribute more effectively to the field of food safety.

Reflecting on the Conference for Food Protection, it was a reinforcing experience that underscored the importance of embracing new technologies and methods in our continuous effort to safeguard public health through improved food safety practices. It was an affirmation of our role in this evolving landscape and a motivation to keep innovating and collaborating in this crucial field.
